American Tungsten

ESG & Community

Rooted in Idaho

American Tungsten is proud to operate in Idaho, a state with a long history of responsible mining, natural resource development, and strong rural communities. We believe the future of domestic critical mineral production can build upon that legacy while creating new opportunities for local families, businesses, and communities.

As we advance the historic Ima Mine, our focus extends beyond resource development. We are committed to being a long-term partner to the people of Idaho by supporting local employment, investing in communities, protecting the environment, and maintaining transparent relationships with stakeholders.

We are encouraged by the support shown by Idaho’s state and local leaders for the responsible development of domestic critical minerals and recognize the important role Idaho can play in strengthening U.S. supply chains, national security, and economic resilience.

Supporting Idaho Communities

Local Partnerships

We believe successful projects are built through trust, collaboration, and ongoing engagement. We work closely with local residents, county leaders, landowners, businesses, and community organizations to ensure our activities reflect local priorities and create lasting value.

Idaho Jobs & Workforce Development

Our goal is to create opportunities for Idaho workers by supporting local hiring, skills development, and workforce training initiatives whenever possible. We believe the benefits of resource development should be felt in the communities closest to our operations.

Strengthening Local Economies

Whenever practical, we seek to engage Idaho-based contractors, suppliers, and service providers. Supporting local businesses helps create economic benefits that extend well beyond the mine site and contribute to long-term regional growth.

Community Investment

We are committed to supporting initiatives that enhance education, workforce readiness, infrastructure, and community wellbeing throughout the regions where we operate.

Environmental Stewardship

Idaho’s landscapes, waterways, and outdoor heritage are part of what makes the state unique. We recognize our responsibility to help protect these resources while advancing responsible mineral development.

Historic Site Rehabilitation

The redevelopment of the historic Ima Mine provides an opportunity not only to help secure a domestic supply of tungsten, but also to improve and responsibly manage legacy mining infrastructure through rehabilitation and remediation efforts. Current work at the project includes approved site remediation and restoration activities designed to improve access and safety while preparing the site for future development.

Land & Reclamation

We support Idaho’s long-standing commitment to mined land reclamation and responsible land stewardship. Project planning includes measures designed to minimize disturbance and support reclamation throughout the life of the operation.

Water Protection

Protecting Idaho’s water resources is a fundamental priority. Monitoring, responsible water management practices, and regulatory compliance are integrated into our development approach.

Wildlife & Natural Resources

We seek to minimize impacts on wildlife habitat and environmentally sensitive areas through careful planning, environmental assessments, and ongoing monitoring.

Responsible Resource Development

At American Tungsten, we believe that the responsible development of critical minerals must go hand in hand with environmental stewardship, strong community partnerships, and transparent governance. As tungsten plays an increasingly vital role in modern technology, defense, and clean energy systems, we are committed to ensuring its production meets the highest ESG standards.
